Accor signs Fairmont Rishikesh, Himalayas luxury resort in India

Accor has announced the signing of Fairmont Rishikesh, Himalayas, a new luxury resort located in the Shivpuri Range of Uttarakhand, India. Scheduled to open in 2031, the property will be developed in partnership with Javi Home Pvt Ltd, the hospitality arm of Javi Group.

The resort will span approximately 16 acres and feature 220 guestrooms, four dining venues, a spa, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and a kids’ club. Additionally, the site will include 3,000 square meters of event space designed to cater to weddings, corporate meetings, and MICE events, alongside the region's traditional wellness and spiritual tourism.

This signing marks Accor’s second luxury project in Rishikesh within a year, following the upcoming Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar. The expansion is part of Accor’s broader strategy to grow its presence in India, aiming for a target of 300 properties across the country by 2030.
