Accountant Daniel Neira joins INTA after ENACOM severance

Accountant Daniel Alfredo Neira has been appointed as the Accounting Manager at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) following his departure from the National Communications Entity (ENACOM). Neira received a final severance settlement of approximately $109.7 million pesos upon leaving ENACOM on July 31. His new role at INTA began the following day, August 1, under a 180-day transitory designation.

The rapid transition has prompted internal debate within INTA’s Board of Directors. While board members were aware of Neira’s professional background at ENACOM, they noted they were not informed of the specific financial terms of his dismissal. INTA’s legal counsel stated that his dismissal from ENACOM does not legally prevent his reintegration into the public sector.

The appointment was formalized via Resolution 296/2026 on September 3. The position was filled without a prior competitive exam due to the urgency of covering vacancies left by voluntary retirements. The Board of Directors is expected to review the continuity of his contract within the next 30 days.
