Kazutoki Kono, the brand director for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, revealed that the character Tasha Severskaya was the most expensive character to design due to the extensive time spent refining her appearance and details. During a media interview in China following a hands-on demo, Kono explained that while her story and direction were established early, the development team continuously modified various aspects of her design to ensure accuracy.

Tasha Severskaya, a pink-haired pilot and former member of Yuktobania's Zvezda acrobatic team, has become a significant fan favorite on social media ahead of the game's scheduled release on October 2. Kono attributed her popularity to her personality and fashion sense, noting that her military-inspired outfits reflect current trends among fans.
