Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve launches on PS5, Xbox, and PC

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve has officially launched on October 2, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. Developed by Project Aces and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the title marks the first major entry in the franchise since Ace Combat 7 in 2019.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game features a significant visual leap and a story set in the fictional Strangereal universe. Players take on the role of an elite pilot known as ‘Wings of Theve’ within the Joker squadron, tasked with reclaiming territory from the Republic of Sotoa. New gameplay features include first-person cockpit sequences for a more cinematic experience.

The release includes both Standard and Deluxe editions. The Deluxe version offers the ‘Premium Ace Pass Plus’ and the ADFX-02 Morgan aircraft. Multiplayer capabilities have been expanded with cross-play support, featuring co-op attack and war modes, PvP events, and time-limited emergency missions.
