Acea Acqua Edu Camp hosts environmental education event in Torre del Greco

The Acea Acqua Edu Camp recently held an educational event at the Circolo Nautico in Torre del Greco, Campania. The initiative, promoted by Acea and Gori, focused on environmental education, water resource awareness, and nautical sports for students from the Istituto Comprensivo Giovanni Falcone of Volla.

This program is part of the national ‘Acea Scuola – Educazione Idrica’ project, established through a three-year memorandum of understanding between the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit and Acea. The project aims to foster sustainable behaviors and water conservation awareness among younger generations. The camp served as a prize for students who participated in the national contest ‘Gocce di innovazione. L’uso dell’acqua nella tua casa del futuro’, which encouraged creative solutions for water reuse and recycling.

During the two-day event, students engaged in practical workshops, learned nautical skills such as knot-tying and flag signaling, and participated in sailing activities with qualified instructors. The national program has reached over 500 schools and 30,000 students across Italy, with nearly 3,000 participants in the Campania region.
