ACEESCA calls for mobilization to complete residential project

ACEESCA has called for community support for a mobilization scheduled for November 20 in Santiago de Compostela. The protest aims to demand solutions for the completion and launch of its residential project, ‘Miña Casa, Miña Comunidade’.

The project, designed to provide 40 residential places and 10 day-care spots for people with intellectual disabilities, is facing significant financial hurdles. The organization reported a complex economic situation involving a required repayment of 858,644.23 euros to the administration, which necessitated bank financing. Additionally, rising construction costs have increased the required budget by more than 40%.

The planned demonstration is described as a peaceful, accessible, and non-partisan social mobilization intended to urge administrations to find a way to finalize the facility.
