Aceh academic studies cover land disputes and education

Various academic studies from Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh examine social, educational, and legal issues in Aceh, Indonesia.

In North Aceh, land disputes between local communities and PT Satya Agung regarding palm oil plantations have been analyzed through the lens of Fiqh Al-Bi’ah. The research highlights that conflicts stem from unclear land boundaries and differing claims of ownership, noting that while mediation and consultation (al-shulhu) have been attempted, achieving legal certainty and environmental protection remains a challenge.

Educational research in the region focuses on several areas: the integration of Islamic values in English textbooks at SMAN 5 Banda Aceh, the effectiveness of Realistic Mathematics Education for elementary students, and the analysis of intuitive mathematical thinking in geometry among junior high students. Additionally, studies at MAS Darul Aman Aceh Besar address the challenges of teaching Aqidah Akhlak, noting that low student motivation and limited facilities hinder effective learning.
