Aceh Tamiang secures 100% of land needed for permanent disaster housing

The Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (Satgas PRR) has reported that land requirements for permanent housing (huntap) in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, have been 100 percent fulfilled. A total of 25 locations covering 129.8 hectares are available to accommodate approximately 4,159 families.

While land availability is no longer a barrier, challenges remain regarding infrastructure. In the Buddha Tzu Chi permanent housing area, 108 of the planned 490 units are complete, but they cannot yet be occupied because the local government is still working on essential public facilities and utilities. Meanwhile, 250 housing units constructed by the Indonesian National Police have been 100 percent completed.
