ACEL defeats Sport 3-2 in LNF Silver quarterfinals first leg

ACEL secured a 3-2 away victory against Sport in the first leg of the LNF Silver quarterfinals held in Recife. Mazetto scored twice for ACEL, with an additional goal from Uelenilson, to give the Paraná-based team a crucial advantage.

Sport attempted a comeback in the second half with goals from Guilherme and Gabriel, but ACEL managed to reclaim the lead. Due to the playoff rules regarding goal difference, ACEL holds a strategic position; they can advance even with a draw in the second leg. Sport must win the return match to force overtime, where ACEL holds the advantage due to their superior first-phase campaign. The second leg is scheduled for October 23 in Chopinzinho.
