Acer and ASUS release new ultraportable AI-capable laptops

New ultraportable laptop models from Acer and ASUS are targeting students and professionals with a focus on portability and AI integration.

The Acer Swift Air 14 features an all-aluminium chassis weighing 1.19 kg. It includes a 120Hz matte display, a 70Wh battery, and Copilot-powered AI capabilities. While its Intel-based configuration and 16GB memory limit its use for heavy workloads, it is positioned as a sensible everyday machine for travelers and students.

The ASUS Zenbook 14 Copilot+ PC is a lightweight 1.1 kg Windows 11 laptop powered by a Snapdragon X processor. It features a 14-inch OLED panel designed for high contrast and reduced blue-light emissions. The device includes a distinctive Ceraluminum lid and offers various AI-driven features and software subscriptions.
