Acer announces Predator Atlas 7 handheld and DualPlay Mini concept

At the next@acer global press conference in Berlin, Acer announced several new hardware developments, headlined by the Predator Atlas 7 gaming handheld and the Project DualPlay Mini concept.

The Predator Atlas 7 is a compact 7-inch Windows 11 handheld designed to offer flagship performance in a more portable form factor than the previous 8-inch model. It features a 120Hz FHD touchscreen with VRR support and is powered by up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor with Intel Arc B390 graphics. The device includes a dual-fan cooling system utilizing a metal Predator AeroBlade fan and offers battery options of 60Wh or 80Wh. Control features include Hall-effect analog triggers and an option for TMR joysticks to prevent drift.

Additionally, Acer unveiled the Project DualPlay Mini, a concept device that merges gaming and productivity. The device uses a flip-and-swivel design, allowing it to function as a handheld console or transform into a miniature laptop with a backlit physical keyboard. While the DualPlay Mini remains in the concept phase, the Atlas 7 is scheduled for a North American release in November.

Acer also introduced the Aspire G 3D 16 laptop, which utilizes AMD Ryzen AI Max+ processors and specialized dual cameras to render 2D content into immersive 3D experiences without the need for glasses.
