Acer unveils convertible Aspire Spin 14 and ultralight Swift Go laptops

Acer’s latest convertible, the Aspire Spin 14, targets productivity users with a 14‑inch IPS touchscreen (1920 × 1200, 16:10), 360‑degree hinge, aluminum lid and Intel Core processors. Weighing about 1.6 kg, it offers a tactile keyboard, responsive touchpad and a modest 350‑nit display suitable for office work, media and light creative tasks.

The Swift Go 14, now arriving in Europe, is an ultralight 14‑inch laptop that tips the scales at just 1.12 kg and 15.6 mm thick. It ships with Intel’s Panther Lake “Core Ultra” chips – from Core Ultra 5 up to Core Ultra 9 – paired with up to 32 GB RAM and SSDs from 512 GB to 1 TB. An OLED panel delivers 1200p resolution, while a 71 Wh battery promises up to 22 hours of use. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, USB‑A 3.2, HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5 mm jack.

The Swift Go 16 AI expands the line with a larger 16‑inch OLED screen (1920 × 1200, 60 Hz) and Intel Core Ultra 7, 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM, 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD and a 71 Wh battery that lasts around 12 hours. It adds Wi‑Fi 7, a side‑mounted fingerprint sensor and a weight of 1.34 kg. Reviews note strong performance and build quality, though they criticize pre‑installed bloatware and modest speaker output.
