Acer launches Swift Air 16 lightweight AI PC

Acer Japan has released a new model of its Swift Air 16 AI PC, a lightweight mobile laptop designed for business and creative use. Despite its large 16-inch display, the device weighs just 990g due to its magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis and features a slim profile with a minimum thickness of approximately 15.9mm.

The new model is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 7 345 processor, which includes an NPU capable of up to 50 TOPS for efficient AI processing. It is equipped with 32GB of LPDDR5-6400MHz memory, a 512GB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD, and integrated AMD Radeon 840M graphics. The 16-inch WUXGA (1920x1200) IPS display uses a 16:10 aspect ratio and a non-glare finish.

Retailing for 239,800 yen, this model sits between the existing high-end Ryzen AI 7 350 model and the entry-level Ryzen AI 5 330 model. The device offers approximately 13 hours of battery life and includes various connectivity options such as USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, Type-A, and HDMI ports.
