Acer unveils Vero 16 laptop with focus on repairability
Acer has introduced the Vero 16, the fourth generation of its sustainable laptop line, which emphasizes a ‘4R’ philosophy: reduce, reuse, recycle, and repairability. The device is designed for easy maintenance, featuring a tool-less bottom cover for internal access, user-replaceable batteries and SSDs, and detachable I/O port covers and hinges.
Constructed with eco-friendly materials, the laptop utilizes a mix of post-industrial recycled aluminum, low-carbon aluminum, and recycled plastics. The Vero 16 is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and functions as a Copilot+ PC, offering advanced AI capabilities. It features a 16-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and high color accuracy.
Additionally, Acer showcased the Aspire G 3D 16, which utilizes the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ platform to provide glasses-free 3D spatial viewing.
