ACFI hosts sustainable agriculture program in Amritsar

The Agro Chem Federation of India (ACFI), an organization representing 85% of the Indian agrochemical industry, hosted an awareness and interaction program for agricultural dealers and distributors in Amritsar.

The initiative, titled “Strengthening Dealer Industry Partnership for Safe, Responsible & Sustainable Agriculture,” focused on promoting scientific farming practices, responsible product use, and the necessity of farmer awareness. The program addressed industry stewardship and safe agricultural practices in response to evolving regulatory expectations.

Dr. Amarjit Singh Dosanjh, Chief Agriculture Officer for the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in Amritsar, noted that capacity building for dealers is essential as they serve as the primary source of technical guidance for farmers. The Punjab government indicated its support for strengthening regulatory compliance through coordination between industry stakeholders and dealer networks.
