Achaia: Teenager hospitalized after four-meter fall in Niforeika
A 14-year-old student was hospitalized after falling approximately four meters in Niforeika, West Achaia, on Wednesday evening, August 26. The accident occurred near a tourist facility when a railing or balustrade reportedly gave way, causing the teenager to lose his balance and fall into a difficult-to-access area.
Firefighters from the Patras station and EKAB emergency services responded to the scene. Due to the location of the fall, rescuers had to use a stretcher to move the minor to a safe, accessible point for ambulance transport.
The teenager was taken to the Karamanidaios Children's Hospital in Patras for medical evaluation. Initial reports indicate his condition is stable and not life-threatening, with doctors describing his health status as reassuring. He remains under medical observation pending further examination.
