Achilleas Zervas discusses role in ‘Rififi’ series

Actor Achilleas Zervas has discussed his breakout role as Themis in the popular crime series ‘Rififi’, directed by Sotiris Tsafoulias and broadcast on Alpha TV. Zervas portrays Themis, an ‘invisible’ informant and waiter who faces social marginalization and mistreatment from his employer.

Zervas shared that his collaboration with Tsafoulias began after attending the director's screenwriting lessons. He recounted a humorous moment during his casting process and reflected on his personal journey, noting that his past struggles with a stutter previously prevented him from entering drama schools. He expressed that his character's experiences resonate deeply with his own life, stating, ‘I am 1,000% expressed by the phrase, “I am a child of the hard knocks.”’

Zervas also noted the significance of working alongside established actors like Vladimiro Kyriakidis, a professional milestone he had hoped for decades ago.
