Achim Schmitt appointed CEO of EHL Group

EHL Group has announced a leadership transition, appointing Dr. Achim Schmitt as the next CEO, effective January 1, 2027. Schmitt, who currently serves as Dean and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team, will succeed Dr. Markus Venzin, who is set to step down at the end of 2026.

During Venzin’s tenure, the institution underwent strategic transformation and growth, securing AACSB accreditation and B Corp certification. The school also expanded its curriculum with the creation of the School of Practical Arts to address digital and AI-driven industry needs.

As incoming CEO, Schmitt is tasked with centering EHL’s educational mandate, maintaining academic rigor, and focusing on human-centered leadership to prepare students for a changing global landscape.
