Achmad Wardi Eye Hospital provides free cataract screening in Ciruas

Achmad Wardi Eye Hospital conducted a free cataract screening program for underprivileged residents in the Ciruas District. Out of approximately 30 participants who attended the screening, 12 individuals were identified as requiring follow-up cataract surgery due to the severity of their condition.

Ciruas District Head Yuli Saputra stated that the initiative was organized to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Serang Regency. The program aims to assist low-income community members who suffer from blurred vision but face financial or accessibility barriers to medical treatment. Patients identified during the screening will be referred to the specialized eye hospital to undergo surgery free of charge.
