Achraf Hakimi earns 100th cap as Morocco beats Netherlands on penalties

Achraf Hakimi celebrated his 100th appearance for the Morocco national team when the Atlas Lions defeated the Netherlands 3–2 in a penalty shoot‑out after a 1–1 draw in extra time. The right‑back, who captains both Paris Saint‑Germain and Morocco, said the match was "complicated both physically and mentally" but the team stayed focused until the end. Issa Diop’s headed goal in stoppage time forced extra time, and Morocco held their nerve in the shoot‑out.

Hakimi, the second‑most‑capped Moroccan player after Noureddine Naybet, joined the elite group of Moroccan internationals to reach a century of caps.
