ACI launches Sim Racing at School project in Monza
The Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI) has inaugurated the ‘Sim Racing at School’ project at Collegio Villoresi in Monza. This educational initiative introduces professional driving simulators into high school Mathematics and Physics lessons for the first time in Italy.
The project aims to make theoretical concepts more concrete, develop professional skills, promote road safety education, and encourage social inclusion and sustainability. By using motorsport as a practical application for mechanics, physics, and mathematics, the program seeks to engage students through topics relevant to their future and modern mobility.
ACI President Geronimo La Russa stated that the initiative is a new way of teaching that the organization intends to make available to all interested Italian educational institutions. The pilot program at Collegio Villoresi serves as a model for future implementation across the country.
