Aécio Neves declares R$ 22.5 million in assets for Senate bid

Aécio Neves, the national president of the PSDB, has declared assets totaling R$ 22.5 million to the Electoral Court upon registering his candidacy for the Senate representing Minas Gerais.

Approximately R$ 21 million of the declared wealth consists of inheritances from his parents. A significant portion of these assets was inherited from his mother, Inês Maria Tolentino Neves, who passed away in 2023. This includes R$ 8.6 million in real estate located in Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina, as well as R$ 6 million in financial applications and investments. Other inherited items include a rural property valued at R$ 3.6 million, R$ 829,400 in capital quotas, and R$ 1.72 million in collectibles.

From his father, Aécio Ferreira da Cunha, Neves declared R$ 166,600 in capital quotas. His remaining personal assets include R$ 498,000 in fixed income, R$ 542,300 in vehicles, and an apartment in Belo Horizonte valued at R$ 222,000. Neves entered the Senate race following the withdrawal of other candidates and is supporting Alexandre Kalil (PDT) for the governorship of Minas Gerais.
