Acir Gurgacz warns of rising debt and betting addiction in Rondônia

Senate candidate Acir Gurgacz (PDT) has issued a warning regarding rising household debt in Rondônia, citing Serasa data that indicates nearly 700,000 residents are currently indebted. Gurgacz attributed this financial strain to the high cost of living, essential services like water and electricity, and high interest rates.

Gurgacz also voiced strong opposition to online betting platforms, describing them as a “plague” that causes addiction and financial ruin. He stated that the impact of betting extends to public health, noting that addiction places pressure on the Unified Health System (SUS) and causes significant family instability. He pledged to advocate for stricter measures in the Senate to protect families from the effects of gambling addiction.
