Acireale Carabinieri Host Red Cross Youth Campus 2026

The Carabinieri unit in Acireale opened its barracks to participants of the “Campus Giovani 2026” organized by the Italian Red Cross in partnership with the Ministry for Youth Policies. The youth, aged 18‑25 and drawn from across Italy, were received by the company commander, Captain Domenico Rana.

During the visit they toured the operational centre that handles 112 emergency calls, observed the rapid‑response system and radio communications, learned about forensic investigations and fingerprint archiving, and rode in a “gazzella” radiomobile. The programme aimed to promote active citizenship, volunteerism and a culture of legality among young Italians, and was positively received by the participants.
