Acireale police arrest two brothers for domestic abuse

Two brothers have been arrested in Acireale, Italy, following allegations of ongoing domestic abuse and physical assault against their parents. The arrests occurred after the father reported being struck in the face during an argument over trivial matters.

According to police reports, the victim attempted to escape the confrontation by retreating to his car, but the two men pursued him and attempted to break the vehicle's window to prevent his departure. The father eventually managed to raise an alarm and seek refuge at a relative's home.

Investigators noted that the brothers had a history of similar violent behavior toward their parents, which had previously resulted in an administrative warning from the Questore. Despite this, the maltreatment continued on a near-daily basis. The suspects were arrested in flagrante for family abuse and personal injury and have been taken into custody.
