ACME Solar secures Rs. 1,571 crore for Rajasthan power project
ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has secured Rs. 1,571 crore in long-term project funding from India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (IIFCL) to develop a 300 MW assured peak power project in Rajasthan. This marks IIFCL’s first sole greenfield financing for ACME, featuring a 19-year repayment tenor. The project will integrate 1,350 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology alongside solar generation to ensure predictable power supply under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with SECI Limited.
Additionally, ACME Marigold Urja Private, a subsidiary of ACME Solar, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Northeast Frontier Railway. This deal involves a 130 MW round-the-clock renewable energy project with power supply scheduled to begin in February 2029 at a fixed rate of Rs 4.35 per unit. These developments contribute to ACME Solar’s growing portfolio, which includes over 6,970 MW of operational and under-construction capacity.
