ACN and INdAM partner to advance cryptography and cybersecurity research

The National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) and the National Institute of Higher Mathematics (INdAM) have signed a Framework Agreement to strengthen cooperation in the fields of cryptography, applied mathematics, and cybersecurity.

The partnership aims to address evolving cyber threats, including those posed by quantum computing, by promoting research and the adoption of advanced, resilient cryptographic solutions. The agreement will facilitate scientific research projects involving universities, research institutions, and both public and private entities.

Key objectives of the collaboration include the promotion of national and international research programs, the organization of scientific conferences and seminars, and the establishment of strategic networks connecting academia with the industrial sector. This initiative is part of the implementation of Italy's National Cybersecurity Strategy, which focuses on developing domestic scientific and technological capabilities to enhance digital resilience.
