ACOME operates as a successful employee-owned cooperative
French cable manufacturer ACOME has maintained a successful cooperative business model for 90 years. Unlike traditional industrial corporations driven by major shareholders or investment funds, ACOME is majority-owned by its employees, following a democratic principle where each person holds one vote regardless of capital contribution.
Headquartered in Normandy, the company employs approximately 1,600 people and generates an annual turnover of about 600 million euros. While it operates as a large-scale international industrial group, its ownership structure remains distinct. About three-quarters of its revenue is generated abroad.
ACOME produces various specialized cables for the automotive, telecommunications, and data network sectors. Its product range includes fiber optic cables for high-speed internet, high-voltage cables for electric and hybrid vehicles, and data cables for modern vehicle sensors and control units. The company maintains a global production footprint with sites in France, China, Brazil, and Morocco.
