Acon Timber secures up to US$ 30 million loan for industrial expansion
Acon Timber, an Argentine forestry company based in Gobernador Virasoro, Corrientes, has secured a loan of up to US$ 30 million from the Dutch enterprise development bank, FMO. The financing is intended to strengthen and expand the company's productive capacity and support the growth of its industrial operations.
A member of the HS Timber Group, Acon Timber operates across the forestry value chain, including silviculture, sawing, wood processing, and the production of wood pellets. The company also generates energy from biomass to power its own industrial processes. The funds will support the development of its industrial complex, which includes a pine wood processing plant inaugurated in early 2024.
The legal advisory for the Term Facility Agreement was provided by the firm Beccar Varela.
