Acorn Group becomes Sri Lankan GSA for Iris flight retail platform

Acorn Group has announced its appointment as the General Sales Agent (GSA) in Sri Lanka for Iris, a flight retail platform developed by Dubai-based TPConnects Technologies.

The Iris platform aims to modernize the Sri Lankan travel sector by providing a single portal that integrates content from over 60 new distribution capability (NDC) sources, low-cost carriers, and four major global distribution systems (GDSs). This technology allows travel agents to access private and publicly negotiated fares, as well as ancillary services such as baggage handling and meals, through a single interface.

According to Acorn Group, the implementation of this technology is intended to streamline the booking process for agents and provide travelers with more optimal options regarding pricing, timing, and additional services.
