Acorn TV renews ‘Art Detectives’ for Season 2, production set in Belfast

Acorn TV announced that the crime‑drama series Art Detectives has been renewed for a second season. Production on the new episodes is already under way in Belfast and across Northern Ireland.

Season 2 will launch with a two‑part special in December 2026, followed by a six‑episode run in 2027. The show will again star Stephen Moyer as DI Mick Palmer and Nina Singh as DC Shazia Malik, with Larry Lamb returning as Ron Palmer. The first season was Acorn TV’s most‑watched new series premiere and holds an 89 % critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Moyer said he looks forward to “filming these eight new episodes and reuniting with the brilliant Nina Singh,” while the series’ creators highlighted its blend of murder investigations with priceless art and antiques.
