Acoustune launches XHS1400 modular wired earphones

Tokyo Onkyo has announced the release of the Acoustune XHS1400, the first model in the new XHS series of wired earphones. Scheduled for release on October 30, the product features a modular design that allows the acoustic chamber and the connection module to be separated.

The XHS1400 utilizes the C:04 acoustic chamber and the M:04 wired connection module, both constructed from aluminum. The driver unit employs Acoustune’s signature ‘Milinx’ biomaterial combined with a lithium-magnesium alloy dome to deliver deep low frequencies and sharp mid-to-high frequencies.

Due to its modularity, the device is compatible with the HSX1001 series; users can attach the C:04 chamber to existing wireless modules to enjoy the wired sound profile wirelessly. The earphones will be available in Black and Gold, with an estimated market price of approximately 58,300 yen.
