Italy hosts seasonal festivals celebrating white truffle and olive oil

Various regions across Italy are hosting traditional gastronomic festivals centered on white truffles and extra virgin olive oil.

In Acqualagna, the 61st International White Truffle Fair has inaugurated a new Truffle Market on via Leopardi to serve as a year-round promotional hub. Similarly, Sant’Agata Feltria is celebrating the 42nd National White Truffle Fair, which recently honored Trattoria Ciccioni for its 115 years of service. Other notable truffle events include the Moncalvo National Truffle Fair, where a 340-gram specimen won the Zappino d’Argento, and the upcoming 45th White Truffle Market in Gubbio.

In Umbria, the town of Trevi is preparing for the 20th edition of FestivOl, a festival dedicated to new olive oil and local agricultural products like the black celery of Trevi. Meanwhile, Cartoceto is hosting its 49th Olive Oil and Olive Market, highlighting DOP Cartoceto oil through tastings and mill visits. In Piedmont, the restaurant Il Cappellaio Matto in Caprie is hosting a dedicated dinner for Alba white truffles.
