Acquedotto del Fiora begins final water infrastructure upgrades in Siena

Acquedotto del Fiora has launched the final major phase of a project to renew the water pipe ring in Siena’s Piazza del Campo. The works, representing an investment of over 60,000 euros, involve installing 35 meters of new cast iron piping in the section between via Duprè and Casato, along with the reconstruction of manholes and connections.

To minimize disruption to the city's central square and its scheduled events, the project is being executed in stages in coordination with the municipal administration. The first scheduled water flow interruption for users between Casato and Costarella is set for Monday, October 26, from 8:30 to 13:00.

Completion of this final stage is expected by the end of November, though the timeline remains subject to weather conditions due to the nature of the outdoor construction site.
