ACRC reviews 30 policy proposals from youth advisory group

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) held its second general meeting of the 2030 Youth Advisory Group to discuss policy improvements proposed by young citizens. The meeting focused on addressing the issues of isolated and reclusive youth, with participation from the Seoul Youth Gigae Center to share the realities of crisis-stricken youth.

The advisory group is refining approximately 30 policy proposals categorized into rights, fairness, and youth sectors. Key proposals include establishing protection systems for graduate students against workplace harassment, improving military service benefits for specialized researchers to ensure they are not excluded from youth savings programs, and preventing illegal conversion of residential properties to commercial use to protect youth housing rights.

The ACRC plans to collect public opinion on these proposals through the ‘People’s Idea Box’ and conduct surveys to better understand the challenges facing the younger generation.
