Acre, Brazil’s Expoacre Juruá highlights political campaigns and furniture sector growth

Former Acre governor and Senate hopeful Gladson Camelí attended the Expoacre Juruá fair, saying his priority is “Brazil winning the World Cup” and urging a focus on party conventions before any election debate. He dismissed speculation about the 2026 elections as “negativity, it’s speculation”.

Senator Alan Rick, running for Acre’s governorship, was welcomed in Brasiléia by deputy Tadeu Hassem and ex‑mayor Fernanda Hassem. Rick emphasized his listening tour across the state, noting “this special invitation was made by my friends Tadeu and Fernanda, and we came to hear, talk and dialogue.” He later received the titles of Citizen of Brasiléia and Honor of Merit.

The Expoacre Juruá also showcased the Vale do Juruá furniture sector, with artisans and manufacturers attracting buyers and securing new contracts. Industry leaders highlighted state support from Industry Secretary Marcio Agiolfi, citing the fair as a strategic venue for expanding the region’s market presence.
