Acre Court of Accounts suspends new political appointments
The Court of Accounts of the State of Acre (TCE-AC) has issued a precautionary decision suspending new appointments for commissioned positions and trust functions within the state executive branch. The order, issued by counselor Ronald Polanco Ribeiro following a representation by Senator Alan Rick, aims to prevent further increases in personnel expenses.
Data cited in the decision indicates that spending on these positions exceeded the monthly reference limit by approximately R$ 2.4 million in August. The suspension applies to both direct and indirect administration and targets any appointments that would increase expenses or fail to demonstrate financial neutrality.
The Acre State Government has contested the ruling, stating that the calculations used by the counselor do not follow legal parameters and ignore specific legal compensations. The State Attorney General's Office is preparing a defense, maintaining that all administrative acts are based on state laws approved by the Legislative Assembly.
