Acre Government provides mobility aids and social assistance

The Government of Acre, through the State Secretariat of Social Assistance and Human Rights (SEASDH), has conducted several initiatives to provide assistance and mobility aids to vulnerable populations in the state.

In one initiative, motorized wheelchairs were delivered to individuals to promote autonomy and facilitate daily activities, including academic pursuits. These acquisitions were funded by parliamentary amendments.

Additionally, in the municipality of Sena Madureira, the SEASDH provided essential supplies to the Casa Lar Especial Para Pessoas Especiais. The delivery included geriatric diapers, bath chairs, wheelchairs, hygiene kits, and cleaning supplies to support the 16 elderly residents at the institution. These actions are part of ongoing efforts to identify and meet the needs of people in vulnerable situations through the State Human Rights Reference Center.
