Expoacre 2026 opens in Rio Branco with security, shows and municipal services
The 51st Expoacre agricultural fair began in Rio Branco, Acre, with a strong security presence: the Acre Police deployed an average of 160 officers each night and reported no incidents during the opening. The state government contracted singers Leonardo and Ana Castela for cultural performances, allocating R$2.5 million for the shows. Mayor Alysson Bestene inaugurated a municipal services pavilion that showcased videomonitoring, financial‑education programs and other city initiatives. Visitors arrived for the first night to a program that includes gastronomy, entertainment, rodeo, vaquejada and business exhibitions. Admission to the concerts is free in exchange for a donation of two kilograms of non‑perishable food, and a police educational stand highlighted the national “Agosto Lilás” campaign against violence toward women. The fair will run for nine nights, offering a mix of cultural, commercial and agricultural activities.
