A series of blood‑donation initiatives took place across Brazil in early July. Rio de Janeiro’s Galeão Airport opened a collection point on 1 July, inviting passengers, airport staff and nearby residents to donate until 140 registrations were reached. The Unimed Institute in Goiânia held the "Abraço" campaign on the same day at its diagnostic centre, aiming to offset the usual drop in donations during school holidays.

Local governments also organised events: the municipality of Jeriquara scheduled a donor caravan on 4 July with free transport for participants, while Marilândia do Sul reported 20 donations in June and plans to increase numbers in July. The Paraná Regional Council of Biomedicine mobilised its 7,500 members for a June "Junho Vermelho" drive, stressing higher demand for blood during the accident‑prone holiday period.

State‑level digital tools were introduced to support donors. Acre launched the "Hemocentro Digital" platform, available through the state services portal and the Meu AC Gov app, providing real‑time stock information, digital donor cards and other services. The platform is expected to streamline donor access and aid blood‑bank management.

Additional campaigns include the Fiocruz‑Hemorio drive at the Instituto Nacional de Saúde da Mulher in Rio (2 June) and a record‑breaking collection in Volta Redonda during the national "June Red" awareness month, which reached 585 bags. Together, these efforts aim to maintain adequate blood supplies for surgeries, emergencies and chronic treatments nationwide.
