Acre Military Police distribute 2,223 new Glock pistols
The Military Police of Acre (PMAC) is finalizing the distribution of 2,223 new Glock pistols to its personnel. This equipment upgrade includes 1,055 pistols purchased with PMAC's own funds for R$ 1,494,923.00, and 1,168 weapons acquired through a partnership with the State Secretariat of Justice and Public Security (Sejusp).
To ensure safe and effective use, the institution is conducting comprehensive training for its officers. The instruction process, which began in August, includes theoretical lessons and practical shooting exercises at the shooting ranges of the Integrated Center for Teaching and Research in Public Security (Cieps) and the Special Operations Battalion (Bope). The training covers everything from basic fundamentals to dynamic police shooting techniques. The distribution is being carried out gradually across operational units to avoid disrupting service, with plans to extend the process to battalions in the state's interior.
