Acre political candidates propose new hemodialysis centers

The government plan proposed by Mailza and Jéssica Sales aims to implement new hemodialysis centers and expand nephrology services throughout the interior of Acre. The initiative is designed to reduce the need for renal patients to travel long distances for treatment, allowing them to remain closer to their families.

While specific municipalities for the new structures have not yet been defined, the plan seeks to move specialized services beyond Rio Branco. To support this expansion, the proposal includes policies to attract and retain healthcare professionals in hard-to-reach regions to reduce staff turnover. Additionally, the plan outlines the expansion of Telehealth and Specialized Itinerant Health services to provide consultations, diagnostics, and exams to residents in remote areas.
