Acre political candidates push development and job plans ahead of elections
Several Acre politicians are emphasizing development, employment and infrastructure ahead of upcoming elections. Deputy Eduardo Ribeiro warned that the state faces an employment crisis and urged greater private sector involvement, recalling his previous role as superintendent of the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra) in Acre. Zé Adriano highlighted a partnership with community leader and city councilor Raimundo Neném, calling for joint action to strengthen representation and improve health, education and sport across the state.
Former governor Jorge Viana said he would prioritize a long‑term development plan focused on job creation, investment attraction and infrastructure, noting Acre’s strategic location near the Pacific Ocean for Asian trade and citing the construction of four bridges over the Rio Acre during his term. He also pledged to pursue a new bridge in Porto Acre. Meanwhile, pre‑candidate Fabio Rueda toured merchants in Brasiléia with Joelso Pontes, stressing the need for stronger health services and economic growth in the Alto Acre region.
