Acre reports homicide in Sena Madureira and funeral controversy in Rio Branco

In the state of Acre, Brazil, two separate incidents involving deceased individuals have drawn attention. In Sena Madureira, a man was murdered on Monday morning near the Catiano bridge. According to the Military Police, at least four suspects invaded the victim's residence, forcibly removed him from the house, and attacked him in the yard with wooden slats and possibly a machete. The suspects fled the scene, and the Civil Police are investigating the motive and identity of the perpetrators.

In Rio Branco, the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance and Human Rights issued a formal warning to the Morada da Paz funeral home following a complaint from a grieving family. The family reported that a man, who had received funeral assistance through social services, was delivered to them without clothing during a wake. The relatives stated that when the coffin was opened, the body was only partially covered by a piece of paper. The funeral company has stated it is investigating the circumstances and will provide clarifications to the secretariat.
