Acre State Government Announces Wide‑Scale Appointments and Reassignments

The government of Brazil’s Acre state, led by Governor Mailza Assis Cameli, issued a series of decrees on Monday, 27 April, to appoint, dismiss and reassign dozens of commissioned officials. The changes affect multiple secretariats, autarchies and agencies, including the Secretariat of State for Social Assistance and Human Rights (SEASDH), the State General Comptroller’s Office (CGE), the Institute of Environment of Acre (IMAC) and the Secretariat of State for Education and Culture (SEE).

Among the appointees are Marivaldo da Silva Barros, Marcos Adawson da Sila Chaves, Ilana Raquel Rabelo de Medeiro Araujo and José Conceição dos Santos at SEASDH; Daniel Leandro Oliveira Braga Amoedo to a CAS‑2 role; and a large list of new staff at IMAC and SEE covering positions from CAS‑1 to CAS‑8. The decrees also record several exonerations, such as Kássia Nascimento de Araújo from a CAS‑7 post at CGE, before her immediate reassignment to a CAS‑8 role.
