Acre students excel in Brazilian Geography Olympiad

Students from Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, have achieved significant success in the Brazilian Geography Olympiad (OBG). The Federal Institute of Acre (Ifac) - Campus Cruzeiro do Sul secured first place in the state, with 51 students earning medals, including 15 gold, 18 silver, and 18 bronze.

The SOLSTÍCIOS team, composed of Felipe Magalhães, Julius Ciacci, and Maria Isabel da Silva Morais, qualified to represent the state at the competition's in-person final stage. This national phase is scheduled to take place in Campinas, São Paulo, in November 2026.

Additionally, students from Escola Craveiro Costa also earned gold medals, qualifying for the national stage. Students Gabriel Wesley Rosas Moraes and Alan Farias highlighted the importance of this achievement for students from peripheral areas and the state of Acre as a whole.
