Governor Mailza Assis opens revitalized Rio Branco Skatepark
Governor Mailza Assis inaugurated a newly revitalized skatepark in Rio Branco, Acre, on Sunday, June 28, at 4 p.m. The project, funded with R$ 1 million through the state’s PEC/GER‑AC program, upgraded the facility to improve safety, accessibility, and accommodate skateboarding, roller‑skating, and scooter use.
The governor said the upgraded space is “essential for the exercise of citizenship and the encouragement of sport.” SEOP director Ítalo Lopes highlighted the administration’s commitment to public sports and leisure areas, noting the renovation supports social, cultural, and economic development in the region. The skatepark, located on Rua Manoel Rodrigues de Souza in the Jardim Nazle neighbourhood, is also intended to host sporting events and foster community interaction.
