Acri: five-year-old child falls from second-floor balcony

A five-year-old child fell from a second-floor balcony of a residential building in the central area of Acri, Cosenza, on the afternoon of October 31. The incident occurred around 3:00 PM.

A family member initially transported the child by car to a local hospital in Acri for emergency care. Due to the severity of the injuries, medical staff ordered an urgent transfer via helicopter to the Annunziata Hospital in Cosenza. The child has been admitted to the intensive care unit and is reportedly in a medically induced coma.

Local authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the fall to determine the exact cause. The clinical condition of the child remains critical.
