Acroarte to honor Frank Rainieri and other figures at XV Merit Gala

The Association of Art Chroniclers (Acroarte) will host its XV Gala of the Journalism Merit Award on Tuesday, September 1, in Santo Domingo. The ceremony is dedicated to journalist Juan Taveras Hernández (Juan T. H.) in recognition of his 50-year professional career.

Key honorees include tourism entrepreneur Frank Rainieri, founder and chairman of Grupo Puntacana, recognized for his contributions to tourism, culture, and environmental preservation. José Miguel Bonetti Dubreil will be honored for his three decades of work in business, sports, and social responsibility. Journalist José P. Monegro, director of El Día, will receive recognition for his extensive career in Dominican journalism.

Additionally, the Escuela Nacional de Locución Profesor Otto Rivera will be distinguished for its 60 years of training communication professionals. Acroarte President Marivell Contreras stated that the awards represent a commitment to the individuals and institutions that contribute to the cultural and professional growth of Dominican society.
