Acronis appoints Prakash Panjwani as CEO

Acronis has announced a leadership restructuring, appointing Prakash Panjwani as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Panjwani succeeds Jan-Jaap “JJ” Jager, who will remain a shareholder in the company.

Panjwani, who previously served as CEO of WatchGuard Technologies and SafeNet, is tasked with leading the company’s next growth phase. His mandate includes integrating cybersecurity, data protection, infrastructure management, and service automation into a single platform, with a specific focus on the Managed Service Provider (MSP) market.

Additionally, Gerald Caron has been appointed as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Caron will oversee global security strategy, compliance, governance, and incident response, bringing over 20 years of experience from both the public and private sectors.
